Minima 6 is super fun! This one plays almost like a fidget toy, with a really interesting move that you’ll want to do again and again!
The box on this one is very different from everything we’ve seen thus far. There is one giant entryway that takes up almost half of one of the faces, and it even wraps around to 2 other sides. In addition, there are 2 other windows. So basically this box is swiss cheese.

There are 3 pieces – 2 L shaped ones and a larger more complex shape. The main challenge in this puzzle is figuring out how to put that giant piece in. There is such a big window that you’d think it would be easy. But keep in mind, this is a Minima, and nothing is ever easy or straightforward. I have to admit that I spent an embarrassingly long amount of time just trying to figure out the big piece. I tried everything I could think of, every orientation, every position, but nothing seemed to work. At one point, I thought I had the solution, but turns out there is a wrong way to insert the big piece, so don’t get trapped!

Figuring out the tricky move leads to a big a-ha moment. It’s a fun move and as stated above, you’ll want to reverse it and do it again a couple of times. This is one of the puzzles in the series that I pluck off the shelf and unpack and repack from time to time.
